Scurvy Curs is an Unreal Tournament 3 Black mod that my team created for DePaul's Winter 2011 GAM 392 Mod Workshop course, taught by professor Patrick Curry.

Scurvy Curs is an interesting mix of capture-point and capture-the-flag gameplay, where players control either a pirate or a colonist.
The pirates must battle through the town and capture each of the colony's town flags in a specific order to progress. Once they have captured all of the flags, they can steal the treasure chest and return it to their ship for a point. The colonists must defend the town and hold off the pirates until time runs out, recapturing town flags to push the pirates back and prevent them from stealing the treasure.
Despite being our first mod, we were able to get a number of advanced features into the game. I created the capture points and minimap from scratch, including network replication. There are three custom weapons–a flintlock pistol, a blunderbuss "shotgun", and a saber–with simple animations. The bots will even pursue the objectives, including stealing the treasure.
